For preparing the General Knowledge and objective type questions, an aspirant can refer General Knowledge Refresher written by O.P. Khanna. Try to start for preparation as soon as possible. You should read basic books that are related to the syllabus. AIEEE exam 2010

• For preparation purpose, distance learning course is always better as compared to regular learning classes. Because after attending coaching classes, you do not have much time for study. This entrance exam comprises of a single paper of the duration of three hours. It contains 65 questions that carry a maximum of 100 marks. In my opinion, the relevant books should be divided into two groups i.e. Fundamental and Basic concepts and Problem oriented. Physics
Every student, who is preparing for PMT, should read all his competitive books. But he should do more more focus on Heat and thermodynamics (graphical), SHM and Waves, Kirchhoff’s Laws, Magnetic effect & Electromagnetic induction. In PMT, you may also find questions on unit Concept of Projectile, Impulse, Momentum & centre of Mass.

Chemistry
In the Chemistry section, there are three main sections i.e. Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry. In organic chemistry, you can focus on General organic chemistry, biochemistry. The important chapters in physical chemistry are Chemical & ionic equilibrium, kinetics, radio, nuclear and surface chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry contains important chapters Analytical chemistry, redox, stochiometry, periodic properties, chemical bonding and organo metallic compounds.

Biology
In Cell Biology, you may read structure, function of reproduction of cells, cellular enzymes. The important topics in plant and animal physiology are Plant water relations, photosynthesis, plant nutrition, respiration & osmo-regulation in animals, nervous coordination and integration in animals, chemical co-ordination. And in Economic Zoology, one must read Domestication and improvement of animals.

Although I have given here some important topics of PMT Examination, yet you should read all your subject books. Divide your time and always remember ‘Practice makes a man perfect.’

Eligibility Criteria
1. A student can attempt IIT JEE Exam only twice, in consecutive years. Candidates who have passed (10+2) or equivalent qualifying examination in 2006 or will be appearing in 2007, and secure at least 60% (55% for SC/ST and PD) marks in aggregate in their respective Board Examination are eligible. In ease the respective Board awards letter-grades without providing norms for converting them to equivalent percentage marks, the norms decided by the Joint Implementation Committee. JEE-2007 shall be final.
2. Candidates, who have accepted admission by payment of full fees at any of the IITs, IT- BHU, Varanasi, and ISM, Dhanbad through JEE will not be permitted to appear in JEE-2007.
3. Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1982 are eligible for JEE-2007. However, in case of SC/ST, PD candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by five years, i.e. SC/ST and PD candidates born on or after October 1, 1977 are eligible.

How To Apply
An applicant can submit application either on-line through internet or off-line through prescribed (OMR) application form.

(A) On-line : For on-line submission of applications, visit any of the websites given below and carefully follow the instructions given therein. The students can pay the application fee through credit and debit cards of major banks or through challan of selected banks. The reduced examination fee for on-line mode is Rs.450/- for SC/ST / PD/Female candidates and Rs. 900/- for all other candidates.

(B) Off-line : A candidate can buy an application form with information Brochure from any one of the designated branches of banks by paying Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD/ Female candidates (light GREEN envelope) or Rs. 1000/- for all other candidates (light BLUE envelope). This includes the examination fees.

The information Brochure contains details regarding application procedure, syllabus of JEE, examination centres, and courses available at various institutions, counseling, fee structure and other relevant information about JEE-2010.
